Can God ever be seen?

Readers,

the topic of seeing God has been raised by many human beings and takes two main forms. the first is that 'if God cannot be seen, then how can I believe in Him?' and the second is 'Will we see God on judgment day?' - the second being disputed amongst different schools of thought. There are those who believe God can put himself into the body of a man (ie Jesus pbuh) and there are those who say that God cannot do that because he would then be confined in one place or partitioned and it is not God if He is confined to a place or partitioned.

Whilst listening to the late shaykh Ahmad Deedat earlier today, he said something fantastic about 'seeing God' He said that human beings cannot even look at the sun directly which is merely a creation of God without blinding themselves and yet they ask why they cannot see God. Can you imagine how bright the light which made Sunlight must be?

I would recommend Shaykh Deedat's lectures to everybody looking to gain an insight into comparative religion. You can find them on Peace tv, sky channel 823 or on youtube - or if you are really adventurous you can search his stuff on torrents to download.

Peace be with you all.
